Slack
Connect a Slack workspace, pair member identities, and reach the Endstack agent through mentions and direct messages.
Connect a Slack workspace so @mentions and direct messages can reach the Endstack agent. Slack conversations continue in endOS as external channels.
Where to find it
Open Settings → Integrations, then find the Slack section.
Controls and permissions
| Control | Who can use it | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Workspace — Connect, Disconnect, or Refresh | Admins are required to connect or disconnect | Links the Slack workspace so @mentions and direct messages can trigger the agent. |
| Your pairing code | Each user | Provides a code to send to the Endstack bot in Slack, linking that Slack identity to the Endstack user. |
Only Endstack workspace admins can connect or disconnect Slack for the workspace. After an admin connects it, each member uses their own pairing code so the agent knows which Endstack user is speaking.
Seat requirement
Only users with an Endstack seat can use Endstack through a connected Slack workspace.
Pairing a Slack identity does not grant Endstack access by itself. If someone without an Endstack seat mentions the agent in Slack, they cannot use Endstack through that connection in the same way a seated member can.
Seats and workspace membership are managed under Members and roles.
Set up Slack
- An Endstack workspace admin connects Slack under Settings → Integrations.
- Each seated member copies Your pairing code.
- The member sends that code in a direct message to the Endstack bot in Slack.
- Paired members can
@mentionthe agent or send it a direct message in Slack. - Those conversations appear under Channels in endOS as external conversations.
